unmarked software has announced TextSoap 6.1, an update to their award winning text processing utility for Mac OS X. TextSoap 6.1 includes several new key features and more than two dozen fixes and improvements. TextSoap 6.1 introduces textsoapAgent scripting. This is a significant advancement over the original scripting support (via the Scripting Addition). textsoapAgent scripting allows script writer to directly access the core features of TextSoap.

Swedish software companies dessibelle and Graphiclife have announced Prosopagnosia for Mac OS X. Prosopagnosia is the missing link between the Faces feature in iPhoto 09 and the user's address book to ensure correct tagging of pictures uploaded to Facebook. The program automatically transfers email and full name of the contacts back into Faces in order to complete the information required for a successful tagging of friends when uploading pictures to Facebook.

74% of Enterprises with Macs Plan to Add More
According to EDA Survey

In a survey conducted by the Enterprise Desktop Alliance, 235 of the 314 respondents expect to increase the number of Macs within their organization. Less than 2% of the responding organizations said they expected to reduce the number of Macs. The survey also shows that productivity gains and employee preference are the primary drivers of enterprises adopting Macs, with lower cost of ownership also playing an important role.
