Mac OS X's Bastard sar Implementation

Background: I worked for Sun for 7 yearsCurrent problem: performance monitoring on a fleet of Macs.I've got sar going, through cron, but neither sar nor cron look much like the Solaris versions. Should I have used launchd to start sar, and if so, how? I need sar to run every 5 minutes during business hours.Any guidance on the interpretation of sar output on a Mac would be greatly appreciated. And if you can point me to a good run down on the meaning of the various kernel parameters I'm going to need to tune, that would help.
